Guangdong / 1st – 7th December 2016
Conclusion: Reflections on trip to Guangdong
Introduction: 7D6N Guangdong trip
I was in Hong Kong in 2012. While I was there, I decided to have day trips to Macau and Shenzhen too. It wasn’t too difficult to get to those places from Hong Kong.
For this trip, I plan to visit Macau and Shenzhen again because I felt I did not thoroughly explore those two cities four years ago. Apart from Macau and Shenzhen, I also plan to visit Zhuhai which is just less than an hour away from Macau and also Guangzhou, which is about 1.5-hour train ride from Shenzhen.
My itinerary: I will be flying to Hong Kong on Singapore Airlines Suites Class. From Hong Kong International Airport (HKG), I will be taking a TurboJet ferry to Macau’s Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal. For my day trip to Zhuhai, I will be taking the hotel’s shuttle bus to the border. To go to Shenzhen, I will be taking the Yuet Tung Shipping Co Ltd’s ferry from Macau’s Taipa Ferry Terminal to Shenzhen’s Shekou Ferry Port. From Shenzhen to Guangzhou, I will be taking a train from Shenzhen Railway Station to Guangzhou Railway Station. And finally, I will return to Singapore from Guangzhou International Airport (CAN) on Scoot’s ScootBiz Class.
In Macau, I will be staying at Sheraton Grand Macao, Cotai Central. In Shenzhen, I will be staying at Shenzhen Marriott Hotel Nanshan and Muslim Hotel Shenzhen. In Guangzhou, I will be staying at China Hotel, A Marriott Hotel, Guangzhou and Aloft Guangzhou Tianhe.
My main aim for this trip is to visit as many halal restaurants and mosques as possible in these four cities. So, I will be eating a lot on this trip. Yum yum yum?
