Chiang Mai / 29th - 31st October 2016
Day 3 (in chronological order)
Conclusion: Reflections on trip to Chiang Mai
Introduction: 3D2N Chiang Mai Trip
I almost didn’t go to Chiang Mai. I was so emotionally drained having had to wait for ages for my flights to be confirmed. They were eventually confirmed only 12 hours before departure, and due to that, I couldn’t pre-book a Muslim meal on my flight. Ugh?
I will be flying on SilkAir’s flight MI702 to Chiang Mai International Airport and will be returning to Changi Airport on SilkAir’s flight MI705. Both flights, I will be traveling in the business class cabin. Honestly, I do not know what to expect on those flights as it is my first time flying on SilkAir.
As for my accommodations, for the first night, I will be staying at The Peaberry. As of today (at least), this hotel is ranked top 10 in Chiang Mai on Tripadvisor. Top 10?! It must be expensive?! Surprisingly it is not. It only cost me $50+ for a night’s stay even though I made my booking moments ago. So I was lucky to have found a good deal.
As for the second night, I will be staying at the Le Meridien Chiang Mai. Lucky for me, I didn’t pay an exorbitant amount of money for this stay.
To be honest, I am not sure what I am going to do in Chiang Mai. Due to my busy schedule at home and work, I did not manage to find any time to make any plans for this trip. Goodness! I am beginning to sound like a drifter with no particular aim in his travels. Not sure if that is a good thing or not. But let’s hope it is.
I heard it is exciting to travel without any purpose, aim or expectations in mind. So let’s see if that is true for this trip.
